# New academic citation formats: ABNT and Chicago

Writing academic papers just got easier. While reading a book, you can generate formatted citations with a single click — from the toolbar or by selecting text.

## ABNT Format (NBR 6023)

The most widely used citation standard in Brazil. Generates complete citations with uppercase surnames, city of publication, publisher, and year:

> GARCÍA, Roberto. **Fundamentos de programación**. 2. ed. São Paulo: Novatec, 2023. p. 127.

- Support for multiple authors (up to 3 listed, 4+ uses "et al.")
- Automatic page number when citing from a text selection

## Chicago Format (17th Edition)

Available in all **3 variants**:

- **Notes** — For footnotes: _Charles Yu, Interior Chinatown (Pantheon Books, 2020), 45._
- **Bibliography** — For reference lists: _Yu, Charles. Interior Chinatown. Pantheon Books, 2020._
- **Author-Date** — For inline citations: _(Yu 2020, 45)_

## How to cite

- **From the toolbar:** cite the entire book
- **From the context menu:** select text and get the citation with automatic page number
